Kevin Jones - Chair
Kevin Jones is the Chair of the CU Trust.
Kevin was educated at Woolverstone Hall School, Suffolk (an ILEA Boarding School), then Cambridge University, where he gained a BA Hons English, 1st Class, at Gonville and Caius College. He then combined PhD research with the teaching of undergraduates for the Cambridge University English Tripos.
He became Head of English and Drama, and subsequently Deputy Head at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Surrey (an international school for gifted musicians) and, since 1990, has been Headmaster of St John’s College School, Cambridge, a leading independent preparatory and choir school.
He has been a member of the Education Committee of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS), of the Committees of the Choir Schools Association and the Choir Schools Bursary Trust, of think-tanks for the London School of Economics on the Arts and Society and for the Independent Schools Council. He is currently a member of the DCSF Independent State School Partnership Forum. Kevin has written for the Times Education Supplement and for other educational journals.
He is married to Amanda, a Child Therapist and they have two sons, Max and Louis, who share their father’s support for Chelsea FC.
